Founded by designer & businesswoman Alice Naylor-Leyland, Mrs. Alice, the world’s first Tablescape brand was launched from her home in 2019. Revolutionising the way we lay tables, her ‘Tablescape In A Box’ was the first product of its kind, making the art of Tablescaping accessible worldwide.

Celebrating timeless elegance, the joy of colour & a little of the unexpected, Alice's inspiration comes from her love of fashion, family & the magic of English country-house life.

Expanding into stylish homewares, lighting, furniture & fabric, Mrs. Alice also aims to take the difficulty out of decorating, giving you & your family more time to delight in those special moments together at home.

ABOUT OUR FOUNDER

Designer, business woman & Vogue contributor, Alice Naylor-Leyland divides her time between Cambridgeshire & North Wales with her husband Tom (aka Mr. Alice), their 4 children, 2 dogs & 5 alpacas.

As well as running Mrs. Alice, raising a family & hosting friends, she's a fashion lover, skincare fanatic, into boxsets, travel, junk food & is usually found with a coffee or Diet Coke in hand.

Born in Switzerland, Alice grew up in London with her Mother Serena, whose passion and flair for entertaining, schooled her in the art of hosting and table decoration. After attending Edinburgh University, Alice picked up her love of aesthetics again, studying Fashion at Istituto Marangoni.

Originally working in fashion, Alice first created products in collaboration with Aerin Lauder, French Sole, Fenwick and Misela as well as contributing to Vogue USA.

With her characteristic emphasis on whimsical, elegant design, Alice launched Mrs. Alice to share with you a curation of her life long passion. She hopes you will be inspired.

ABOUT SERENA FRESSON

Serena Fresson, mother of founder Alice Naylor-Leyland, is Director of Design at Mrs. Alice and has spent a lifetime home making, designing, bringing up her 4 children and only one bad blow dry away from a meltdown.

Born in Melbourne, Australia, Serena moved to the UK when she was 13, and having also lived in the USA, now lives in the Hampshire countryside with her husband Michael and their 3 dogs (Dorothy, Tiger & Iris). 

As well as a interiors obsessive, Serena adores cooking, gardening, her dachshund Dorothy, the occasional glass of wine, beauty treatments, hair rollers and of course her son in law Mr. Alice - who wrote this.

At the age of 60, her first formal job was working with her daughter overseeing all design at Mrs. Alice. Bringing her signature colour, joy & beauty into everything she creates, Serena's love for life and family is imbued into the tableware, wallpaper, fabric and homeware she designs.
